Corey Janz (MATS '17) will be presenting his Integrative Project in Art and Theology (IPIAT) on March 31, 7:00 pm. The presentation is entitled "The Road to Ayin: An Exploration in Music & Mythopoeia."
“The Road to Ayin” is a short story structured around mythical archetypes. Exploring themes of place and social responsibility, the story tells of a young wanderer named Malik, and of his quest to save the Valley of Ayin—his family’s long-lost home. He takes up the quest reluctantly, however, for he knows that in order to save it, he will have to stay there for the rest of his life.
The story will be told in prose and song. In addition, Corey will give a brief summary of his academic paper on the value of myth-making, followed by a short Q&A.
