Jonathan Lo
Scholar-in-Residence
BSc (UBC); MCS (Regent College); MTh (University of Edinburgh); PhD (University of Edinburgh)
Dr. Jonathan Lo first fell in love with the Bible during a year of OT/NT Foundations courses at Regent College in 2003. This led to a lengthy pursuit of biblical studies that includes completing an MCS at Regent, and thereafter, postgraduate degrees (MTh, PhD) at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. He is now an assistant professor at Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary, where he teaches and writes about the New Testament, as well as matters related to the intersection of faith and culture, particularly in the Hong Kong Chinese context. Jonathan is currently researching the influence of the book of Daniel on the composition of Mark's Gospel, and writing a book that introduces the phenomenon and complexities of biblical intertextuality (OT in the NT) to lay Chinese audiences.
