The Book of Judges
사사기: 신앙의 이름으로 포장된 욕망의 시대

Course Description

This course offers an in-depth study of the Book of Judges, exploring the Hebrew text alongside major Bible translations and drawing on scholarly insights to uncover the meaning and significance of the text. Through a careful analysis of key passages and an examination of the book’s historical context, theological themes, and narrative structure, students will engage with the recurring themes of leadership failure, human desire disguised as faith, and God’s persistent grace.

This study also aims to illuminate the relevance of the book of Judges for the modern Christian life, offering theological reflections that challenge both personal and communal practice in today’s church. By exploring a story in which individual desire became the ultimate standard, the course invites students to examine how such societal chaos mirrors the challenges of contemporary faith and leadership.
