If you've studied at Regent in the past, you know that we prioritize in-person learning. However, exceptional times call for exceptional measures.

We are very pleased to confirm that Regent's iconic Summer Programs are going forward this year.

In announcing the decision, President Jeff Greenman said, “Regent exists to equip the whole people of God for faithful thought and action, rooted in God's story. In these troubled times, that mission remains our top priority.

“If you've studied at Regent in the past, you know that we prioritize in-person learning. However, exceptional times call for exceptional measures. In light of the global situation––travel restrictions, local health regulations, the temporary closure of the College building, and so on––we will be offering nearly all of our courses online this summer.”

The new delivery mode will allow students to access Regent’s Summer Programs from anywhere in the world. Courses will be delivered through live digital classrooms, providing students with easy face-to-face interactions with teachers and classmates.

While a small number of courses will be cancelled due to incompatibility with a digital format, nearly all of the courses originally scheduled for this year’s Summer Programs will proceed using this new delivery method. Students registered for cancelled courses will be contacted directly.

Updates regarding COVID-19’s impact on Summer Programs are available here. Questions about Regent College's response to COVID-19 can be directed to [email protected]. Questions regarding summer school should be directed to [email protected].

Regent’s Summer Programs offer a series of 1- and 2-week courses running from early May through the end of July. Registration is now open.

Update (April 8, 2020): The original version of this news release, issued March 27, indicated that some courses might be available for in-class instruction from June 22 onward. Since that time, Regent's administration have determined that summer courses will be offered exclusively online. A determination regarding Technology, Wilderness, and Creation (INDS 525), also known as the Boat Course, will be made on June 1, 2020.
