CALLED TO THIS TIME

Called to This Time is a series of workshops that equips church leaders to engage the church calendar, deepening an understanding of the church's vocation during the seasons in which we find ourselves. In this Lent workshop, Regent College Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology Mark Glanville will explore the theological implications of Lent alongside our calling as worshiping, transforming, and missional communities.

WALKING THROUGH THE WILDERNESS IN LENT 2022

Jesus was called into the wilderness. During the season of Lent, we journey there with Him. In addition, we are called to walk with others through their own seasons of wilderness. But how do we do that well in this Lenten season? We increasingly need to understand our calling as God’s people as we rediscover community life in the midst of an ongoing pandemic, deal with widespread weariness, and imagine the journey ahead.

Join Mark Glanville, Regent College's Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology, as he explores a theology of Lent alongside the church's call to be worshiping, transforming, and missional communities. At this event, you will be encouraged to journey through the wilderness with Christ and be enriched by a deeper understanding of the God who meets us in our weariness. Come participate, explore, and discuss the practical implications of this journey for yourself, your congregants, and your church's ongoing calling in the world.

This event will be co-hosted live on Zoom by Regent Exchange and Regent College's Church Engagement Office.
