Regent's Evening Public Lecture series is back for another summer! Join us in person or online to explore Scripture, theology, culture, and much more with Summer Programs faculty and other exciting speakers.

To livestream this and other Evening Public Lectures, visit us at rgnt.net/live.

About the Lecture

We need to speak to how intergenerationality is vital to congregational life—necessary for both old and young. As such, can we resist the proclivity to “stratify” the church along generational lines and lean into the powerful dynamic of old and young in shared worship, learning, and service?

About the Speaker

Gordon T. Smith is the President of Ambrose University in Calgary, Alberta as of August 2012. He continues to teach courses at Regent College on topics such as spiritual practices, conversion, and discernment. He previously served as the Academic Dean at Regent. He is an ordained minister with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. His recent publications include Institutional Intelligence: How to Build an Effective Organization (IVP Academic, 2017), and Evangelical, Sacramental, and Pentecostal: Why the Church Should be All Three (IVP Academic, 2017). He is married to Joella and together they have two grown sons.

Dr. Smith is teaching Come Holy Spirit: The Paraclete in Creation, Church, and Believer from May 16 to May 20 as part of Regent’s 2022 Summer Programs.
