Ryan McAllister is a pop/folk/rock musician who started out as the lead singer for Dakona, a Vancouver-based band that signed a record deal with Madonna’s Maverick Records and toured North America extensively.
Today, McAllister runs Five Acres, a professional recording studio in a converted barn a few steps from his home in Southwest BC. He recently wrote, produced, recorded, and mastered his first solo album, Music for a Rainy Town, which he describes as "an honest, vulnerable, and diverse record that covers the genre gamut between southern pop, story-telling folk, and straight-up rock."
