Pastors and Leaders Conference 2018

Christ asks us—everyday Christians—to be his ambassadors. He gives us the privilege and responsibility of carrying both his message and his very self into the world. The task grows increasingly complex, and increasingly important, as our culture digs deeper into diverging ideological trends. What is the role of the church in this pluralistic and often turbulent context? How do we champion the rights of all people to follow their chosen ideologies, yet still stand for the enduring truth of the Christian Gospel? As we speak in the public square, how can we expect to be heard amidst the din?
At this year’s Pastors and Leaders Conference, consider approaches to meaningful engagement in a post-Christian public square. Hear wise voices from many sectors of society—from medicine to politics, disaster relief to urban geography—as they share their challenges and successes in representing Christ in their public lives. Hear also from Christian leaders as they explore the role of the church in pursuing the common good. Acquire strategies for stimulating and encouraging good ambassadorship in congregants.
God is already at work in society. Let’s learn together how we can join this work skilfully and graciously.
“How we deal with our deepest religious and ideological differences in public life will be a defining issue for the future of humankind." —Os Guinness, The Global Public Square
