The Webmaster is responsible for designing, codifying, and modifying all of the College’s web properties and ensuring those properties are properly functioning.

The salary range for this position is $50,000–$54,000 CAD per annum.

Essential Functions:

  • Troubleshoot and fix daily website problems
  • Apply continual updates and improvements to web properties
  • Research, develop, and advise on new web projects
  • Oversee and manage all improvements and updates to the College’s 5 websites and smaller entities
  • Partner with external vendors to ensure new projects are in line with the College’s values and brand
  • Research and keep pace with new web technologies
  • Update term-based academic information on main website
  • Respond, troubleshoot, and fix web emergencies
  • Attend weekly team meetings and give input on new initiatives, project updates, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Understands and supports the ethos and mission of Regent College as articulated in the College’s Theological Position (which includes a Doctrinal Statement and a Moral Vision Statement)
  • 5 years’ experience in web programming
  • Expertise in multiple programming languages—html, Java script, CSS and familiarity with Ruby on Rails CMS
  • Has UX UY experience
  • Has a strong understanding of web security
  • Possess excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Able to work independently and on teams
  • Knows current privacy legislation—CASL, GDPR, Canadian and BC privacy laws
  • Is patient, client-focused, and adaptable
  • Takes initiative in work and problem solving and has a strong sense of personal responsibility
  • Possesses a strong attention to detail while having an interest in creative work
  • Familiarity with TerminalFour CMS is desirable
