President Jeff Greenman Gives Thanks for Regent's Donors
Happy American Thanksgiving to the Regent community!
This year, Regent has been deeply blessed by the generosity of our donors. Below is Jeff Greenman’s thank you letter to all friends of Regent, originally published in Regent’s 2018/2019 Annual Report.
The full annual report is available here.
Dear Friends,
You amazed me this year. I couldn’t be more grateful.
By providing almost 30% of our operating budget, you reduced the College’s dependence on tuition revenue and made a Regent education more affordable for students. By sponsoring Regent’s technology upgrade, you brought international speakers into our classrooms and Regent speakers into international churches. By funding scholarships and bursaries, you brought students to Regent who couldn’t have come here without you. By responding to our expressed needs during key seasons this year, you enabled Regent to finish the year in the black for the fourth time running. By giving generously, you became the means by which God met Regent’s financial needs and carried his mission forward in this community.
You are an answer to prayer. In these pages, you’ll hear students, staff, faculty, and a few of your fellow donors share what they’ve experienced at Regent and why that matters for the world. As you listen to their stories, please know that none of this would be possible without you, our donor community.
Whether you’re one of the 131 people who made their very first gift to Regent this year, or one of the many faithful donors who have supported Regent’s work for decades, your gift made a real difference this year. As my friend George Guthrie puts it, it takes money to change the world. Thank you for investing in the world-changing work God is doing in and through Regent College.
In Christ,
Jeff Greenman
President, MDiv '88
