New Tuition and Registration Info for 2023-24
To ensure the sustainability of our mission to equip students for service in the church, the academy, and the marketplace, Regent’s Board has approved a tuition rate increase effective May 1, to be accompanied by a change to the registration system. The new rates will apply to both credit and audit hours, and students will be asked to select if they are taking a course onsite or online, with a different tuition fee assigned depending on their choice.
“While we are grateful we have not had to increase our tuition rates since May 2019, we find ourselves needing to include an inflationary adjustment as we look to the coming year,” said Academic Dean Paul Spilsbury, currently serving as Acting President while President Jeff Greenman is on sabbatical this term. “The online tuition rate will include an online access fee to help Regent offset a portion of the additional staff costs that are incurred when providing online courses.”
The current rate of tuition is $505 per credit hour. As of May 1, the new tuition rate will be $520 per hour for onsite courses and $540 for online courses. The audit rate will be $385 per audit hour onsite and $405 per audit hour online.
“From our very first days as a college over fifty years ago, Regent has been committed to creating a rich learning environment where faith and academics thrive together. Since then, we have always sought to provide high-quality theological education while keeping our programs and courses accessible and affordable for students from a range of backgrounds,” Paul said. “We have sought to make the increase as modest as possible.”
