Spark a movement
In November 2012, we launched a social mobilization campaign called "Spark a Movement" to help spread the word about Regent. While most people come to Regent because they've been referred by someone they know, it’s also surprising how few people have heard about us. The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness about how Regent's programs are shaping students through transformational ideas.
"We chose to go this route because we know that advocates of Regent College—our alumni, students, pastors, and faculty—are already sending students to us. An actual campaign allowed us to create specific tools that our advocates could share with their friends or colleagues. Tools that explain what people love about Regent and how people are equipped to tackle the tough questions and make a difference in the world with a degree from Regent College." —Patricia Towler, Vice President External Relations.
As part of this campaign, we're asking our key advocates to talk about Regent with people they know throughout the months of December and January. This could be by taking someone to coffee, hosting a small group meeting in their home, or preaching in their church.
The Be Fearless webpage is the main tool we've created for our advocates to share with those who might be a good fit for Regent. The page features alumna Sarah Breuel talking about Regent's positive impact on her life as a church worker at the University of Rome, Italy. This page also gives prospective students an introduction to Regent, and connects them with an Admissions Counsellor. As a bonus, if the individuals eventually enroll in a program at Regent, they will receive one free course.
On our Spark Regent Facebook page, we're rolling out a series of videos on why students choose to study at Regent.
