Full Return to On-Campus Learning in Fall 2021
A return to on-campus learning in Fall 2021 is in the works for Regent College.
In a letter to students on June 22, Academic Dean Paul Spilsbury announced the College’s plan to return to a full slate of on-campus courses in the Fall 2021 Term: “As the intensity of the COVID-19 pandemic subsides, we are committed to rebuilding the in-person teaching and learning experience that is so much a part of Regent’s transformative mission, ethos, and identity. We look forward to a wonderfully enriched semester filled with Regent’s trademark embodied and integrative community life.”
The College expects to return to regular class sizes in September as the Province of British Columbia’s health and safety guidelines ease. Students unable to travel to Vancouver will be able to access on-campus courses via Zoom or livestream until August 2022. A small number of courses will also be available online only in the Fall 2021 and Winter 2022 terms.
Dean of Students Diane Stinton noted that the return of on-campus community is a top priority: “We’ve been so grateful for the ways we’ve been able to connect with our students online over these past eighteen months, but there is a huge hunger for in-person community among both students and faculty alike. We’re really looking forward to welcoming both new and returning students into this season of rebuilding our on-campus community.”
Registration for the Fall 2021 Term opens July 7. Individuals who have not yet been admitted to a program can contact [email protected] for information on Regent College courses, programs, and campus life.
New guidelines for building access will be released by late August 2021. In the meantime, the Regent College Bookstore is open to the public. All other areas on campus are accessible by appointment only.
