This October, Regent College’s Board of Governors welcomed two new members: Peter Andersen and Jey Jesuratnam. Peter and Jey will join their fellow Board members in governing the College’s operations and overseeing the business, affairs, property, and revenue of the College.

President Jeff Greenman expressed his gratitude for Peter and Jey’s service.

“I’m delighted to welcome Jey and Peter to Regent’s Board of Governors,” Jeff said. “They both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, along with a commitment to serve the Regent College community and our shared mission. They’re joining a wonderful group of people whose gifts bless Regent in many ways, and I look forward to seeing their contributions.”

Peter Andersen (DipCS ’83) is a retired architect living in Seattle, Washington. A Regent alumus from the ’80s, he now regularly attends Summer Programs courses with his wife Helen. He served as an alumni representative on Regent’s Board from 1982 to 1984.

Jey Jesuratnam was born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and now lives in Toronto with his wife Anusha, and son Jeshan. Jey is a senior banker, who has worked in the Americas, Europe, and Southeast Asia for 30 years, and in senior management roles for 20. He has utilized his education, professional training, and marketplace leadership experiences in various Christian ministries. Jey currently serves on the Board of Hope4Child as the Director of Finance & Governance. He also serves as a Board Member for Impact Poverty Foundation. Jey likes traveling, motor sports, cycling, and sailing.

Members of Regent’s Board of Governors are appointed to three-year terms, and can serve up to three consecutive terms. The Board meets three times a year, in February, June, and October.
