Letter from the Chair: Regent College Begins Presidential Transition
February 27, 2024
We begin with thanks and praise.
On behalf of Regent’s Board of Governors, I want to express thanks to Jeff Greenman for the tremendous work he has done as President of Regent College these last nine years. And we praise God for having brought Jeff to us at a crucial and challenging time in the life of the College, and then for providing so wonderfully to meet all those challenges. The College is in a very good position today and is set to thrive in the years to come.
We also thank Jeff in advance for the work he will be doing over the next 15 months. He will begin executing on the new strategic plan we have just approved, and he will continue to lead the College toward a smooth transition in 2025.
While Jeff is moving Regent forward, the Board of Governors is beginning a comprehensive and global search to find the person God is calling to be our next President. A search committee is being formed with representation from the Board, faculty, senior staff, and students. They will begin their work immediately, with confidence in God’s continuing provision for Regent’s needs and excitement for the future.
As always, we covet the prayers of the Regent community as we look to the beginning of a new chapter in the life of the College.
Earl Phillips
Chair, Board of Governors
