Brant Himes

Brant is a full time faculty member at Los Angeles Pacific University (part of the Azusa Pacific University System), teaching online courses in Bible, theology, and history. He also serves as the Young Adults Coordinator at Westside Church in Bend, Oregon. He holds a BA in Music from Seattle Pacific University, an MDiv from Fuller Seminary, and a ThM from Princeton Seminary. As part of his dual-PhD program with Fuller and the VU, he served as an Associated Guest Researcher for the Neo-Calvinism Project at the Theologische Universiteit in Kampen, The Netherlands. Brant's areas of interest are around a theology of discipleship, online learning, historical theology, and theology for ministry. Publications include For a Better Worldliness: Abraham Kuyper, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and Discipleship for the Common Good; Faith, Life, and Learning Online: Promoting Mission Across Learning Modalities (edited with John Washatka); and Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Neo-Calvinism in Dialogue: Perspectives in Public Theology (edited with George Harinck, forthcoming in 2023).
Brant lives in Bend, Oregon with his wife, Jackie, and their two children.
